We’ve just had Ramsgate Day, but Ramsgate Week is en route. Royal Temple Yacht Club’s annual sailing regatta will be held from Mon 21 Jul to Fri 25 Jul. Get a heads up on the programme here.
A new blue plaque has been unveiled at Granville House to honour Spencer William Gore, the first Wimbledon Tennis Champion (1877) and the inventor of the tennis volley.
Ramsgate-based plumber Conor Bird will run 330 miles this October, raising funds for Pilgrims Hospices in memory of his mum, Barbara Bird. Donate to the cause here.
